Hi! I’m Paulo Mariano.
Senior Art Director and Creative Lead with more than 23 years of experience creating strategic, visual and award-winning work for brands including Netflix, Emirates, Gatorade and Super Bock.
My focus is on visual communication and storytelling, particularly in crafting integrated campaigns and activations around ideas that are visually distinctive, culturally relevant, and built to earn attention.
Over my career, I’ve worked across Brazilian and European markets, with recognition across advertising, design and effectiveness categories.
More recently, Generative AI has become part of my creative practice, supporting the development of visual concepts, moodboards and storyboards.
Alongside my professional practice, I also serve on international jury panels and pre-selection committees, evaluating creative work across diverse markets. In 2026, I served on the Final Jury at MAD STARS in Busan and spoke at the festival on the five human behaviours that push a creative towards the average.
If something looks interesting, I'm probably open to it: collaborations, jury opportunities, or just a good conversation.
